There are a lot of beer experts out there, but those who choose to brave the AlphaBeer experience are a special bunch. Leading a room full of people through TWENTY-SIX beers is no easy task. Check out the bio of our next intrepid soul:

When the craft beer scene exploded into the Chicago market 10 years ago certain people chose to jump on the wagon and make beer personal, historical, and more than just a social application; Gary was one of these people.  Surrounding himself by those in Chicago who live and breathe craft beer, Gary rode the coattails of his mentors, learning from everyone he could the art of tasting beers, judging beers, and brewing beers.  His passion is fueled by his desire to learn, to teach, and to enjoy all that is related to craft beer.  You can find him directing the beer program at Franklin Tap, at neighborhood beer bars and restaurants throughout Chicago, and on September 17 at Cactus.  Come enjoy the best hobby in the World with a person who makes it more than a random beverage and learn why Chicago is the craft beer mecca in the US.
